It would help to diagnose your situation if we knew what types of printers you have.
It would also help if you filled out your System Specs. See How-To in the green info box at the top of every Reply to thread box.
Obvious, but needs to be asked. Have you gone into your printer settings and set the default?
With certain applications (Word, Open Office) the paper size needs to be checked and set otherwise they will over ride the printers default.
