Have a Dell XPS410 with Win 7 and HP printer on network. Other computer is a Thinkpad T61 with Vista. Trying to share the printer on the network. There is no Share tab under properties for the printer. Tried both as administrator and regular. Also tried with Norton 360 on and off. No Share Tab. Any ideas?

When you right click the icon for the printer make sure you select "Printer Properties" not "Properties". Other than that make sure file and print sharing is installed. It should be listed under your Local Area Connection Properties.

OK. Found that. I knew that also but was stupid. Have several other issues. The printer shows up on the vista machine but when I try to connect I get "windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000007a". What next. Also an Apple macbook cannot see any of the other 3 computers on the network. any ideas? Thanks

I Googled "Operation could not be completed (error 0x000007a)" and got some hits. Looks like it may be a driver problem or a print spooler problem. It looks like it was a big problem with windows 7 RC and HP printers. I have an HP all in one on my win 7 x64 PC and haven't got that error message, I'm not trying to share it on the network though. Can't help you with the MAC problem, I don't own one, and have never worked on one.
