Anyone help me i have a printer that has worked properly for best part of a year but recently the print spool turns off on its own?
I have reset several times and cleared the print jobs in c/windows printer folder.

If i keepthe srvices folder open showing print spool and click print i can see the service stop?

I have window 7 and have run out of ideas

Hello Dave, welcome to SF!

Try performing a diagnostic startup; go to msconfig (search for it in the start menu), and you'll see the option. You'll have to manually start the print spooler service once, and hopefully it will stay on. Try printing something to confirm.

If that doesn't work, we are looking at some Windows corruption, and we will treat it as such.
