I installed my Dell photo AIO printer 942 in Windows 7 using the instructions on the web. The installation partially fails. The scanner function and copy functions work fine, but it won't print. It states that the printer is not communicating with the computer. When I go and try a page from Word 2010 the printer status states that it is printing to file, but on the Devices and Printers (Start menu) it states that the printer is ready, in Properties it says that the device is working properly and the location is "on USB printing port". Is this a driver problem? When I move the printer USB cable to another laptop, everuthing is working fine, so it is not a cabling or hardware problem.

The 942 printer is the default printer as set up in the devices and printers tab
