Solved Printers have quit working after WIN 7 REINSTALL

Hello
Any thoughts will be more than appreciated. I had to reinstall WIn 7 x64. Now Win 7 does not communicate with my two XEROX printers. I removed them. I editted the Registry and deleted everything XEROX. I ran Denfel's Optimization Suite and made sure there were no major SNAFU's - had 4 errors. Reinstalled the two printers, one at a time. Windows reports that everything is working and when I print a test page, it doesn't even make it to the print queue - ie, no pending documents. I updated both drivers again. Same results. Doesn't matter which USB port they are plugged into. When I check properties, I see the printers on a USB cable. I refreshed all the USB ports. Same result. I ran MS Fixit and it found nothing. This is starting to sound like a format and install from scratch. Sure would like to not have to do that. Make sure that you have a great day!

Are you sure you installed the 64 bit drivers? Drivers are not lower bit compatible like programs are.

First. Device Manager showed no issues. That is where I refreshed the USB hubs. Interestingly enough, Windows acknowledged the addition and removal of the printers when the USB cables were removed or inserted. Printing was a different issue. The application would print, any application, but the print file never went to the spooler. I went into SERVICES and stopped and started printing and that had no effect. Tried several re boots. No repsonse. Tried Window FIXIT. Nothing!

Regarding the question on x64 bit drivers. Yes that is all that I have on my machine. And they worked fine in Win 7 x64 Pro before the reinstall.

What I did next. 1. deleted the partition. 2. tried to format it. 3. got MS error code 8300024 which is basically that MS programmers found something they were not familiar with on the drive. Most interesting since they put it there, and obviously, they have some challenges. 4. went to all the forums searching for fixes. None foud. 5. went to Seagate and downloaded SEATOOLS and wiped my drive (8 hours worth). 6. installed WIN 7 PRO. 7. My hats off to somebody else again for providing a service to repair MS programmers SNAFU's. Yes MS, I am complaining. So I hope this helps!

Make sure that this holiday season is your best yet!
