printers

hi folks
have just purchased a hp deskjet 1050 all in one printer
i have installed done all paper checks etc like it says to do in documentation
but when i go to print of the net all it prints is script not what i wanted printing
have uninstalled and re installed same problem
in printers and devices the green tick is there so that means all ok
i need help please in how to fix prob
