Printing Problems

I have a problem using my printer using Windows 7.

I am trying to print out an online Boarding Pass and it comes out too big to fit on the page. So, it is unusable as it is.

This is not a browser problem, I think as changing from Chrome to Firefox has no effect.

I am sure I have done something in the past to make the text in Windows 7 more visible, but don't know what. It is not screen resolution or anything to do with the Magnifier.

Anyone help?

Have you tried re-scaling the image using your printer settings? There should be an option that resizes the image to fit the page.

Have gone into the printer settings section but can't find anything quite as you describe. Have tried re-setting the printer settings to 'factory settings' to no avail

Right-click the task bar at the top of your browser window (for your boarding pass) and select the menu bar.

From there, choose File>Print Preview>Shrink To Fit>Print Document.

I have solved it now! It was a browser problem. Using both Firefox and Chrome, I had used ctrl + to increase text size and that is the size it then prints the web page.

Trial and error reduced it to 'correct' size. Really must get some better contact lenses!

For whatever it's worth, you also could have converted the doc to an image (.jpg or .bmp) and reduced its size through your photo editor app.
