Hello, I installed the Windows 7 Release Candiate build 7100 yesterday and now when I try to access a website via Internet Explorer or Safari(the windows version) and Firefox I get a page time-out message.

I ran the Network Diagnostic tool and the message I get is "Windows could not automatically detect the networks proxy settings".

I am connected to the internet via Ethernet cable to my dsl modem. I restarted the modem, I restarted the computer several times.

The network says I have internet access, but it will not let me onto the internet.

My computer is a HP pavilion dv7-1020US.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I did try un-installing the driver for my ethernet adaptor. Also I am able to connect to the internet on my other computers with no problems.

Ok so update on my problem. I'm able to download windows updates and if I use the 64-bit version of Internet Explorere I'm able to get online.

I included a screenshot of what Internet Explorere non 64-bit says when I run the network diagnostic tool.

Edit: I uninstalled my virus and firewall programs I had, but it didnt help.

If somebody could please help that would be awesome!!

UPDATE!!!!!

So good news I found out the problem. I had a program called Speedbit Video Accelerator had a file called file://C:\PROGRA~2\SPEEDB~1\vaproxy.pac on my computer. After I uninstalled this program, all my applications can now get on the net!!!

I found that Internet Explorer was using this file file://C:\PROGRA~2\SPEEDB~1\vaproxy.pac. I found it in the Tools >Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings. The box with automatic configuration script was checked with this file://C:\PROGRA~2\SPEEDB~1\vaproxy.pac in the box. After the install the file now reads http://127.0.0.1:9415/tudouva.pac.

Hope this helps anybody with having the same problem.
