I recently upgraded from Acronis 2011 to 2013. Please note that Acronis 2011 boot cd works fine: tested booting with this cd and was able to boot to Acronis 2011.

Upgraded recently to Acronis 2013 & made boot cd. Booted with 2013 CD. Acronis logo appeared on acreen & under logo appeared "Loading, please wait". I waited 10 minutes & nothing happened. Problem is reproducable. Also downloaded ISO file from Acronis & made Acronis 2013 boot cd. Booted with Acronis ISO cd & have same problem.

Not sure what Acronis did in 2013 version as the 2011 cd boots.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Is there a fix short of going back to Acronis 2011?

Appreciate any/all feedback/recommendations!! Very frustrating:confused:

I have Acronis 2013. I had problems booting with the rescue disc on my Gigabyte UEFI BIOS system. I also have another system with an ASRock motherboard with UEFI BIOS and Win 8 and the rescue disc worked OK on that system.

The standard Acronis rescue disc uses Linux. On my Gigabyte system, I had to upgrade to the Plus Pack so I could create a WinPE/Acronis rescue disc. This is a Windows based OS disc and it works on both systems. I noticed that Macrium backup program (an Acronis competitor) also creates a WinPE rescue disc.

Really appreciate your feedback!! I am waiting on 2nd go-around with Acronis tech support. If no solution, I will go with Win/PE. Thanks very much!!!
