Okay, there is a problem with my RAM I think...
(I have 2gb of ram)
I tried to play web game, I noticed it was getting slow and it happens every time I try to play. I decided to ask for help here.

I am not sure if RAM is the problem, but while running the game used RAM is very high, and the games does not run smoothly...

Win 7 64 bit needs a minimum of 2 gigs of ram before you start playing any game. If you dont plan to increase yours win 7 32 bit might be more suitable. It only requires 1 gig

Are you serious? I still don't understand, even if it is win 7, why a flash game on the web will use that much ram...?

Windows 7 x64 needs at least 2GB for the system itself. Programs and games will require more RAM. Just add more RAM

Modern Operating systems need to meet modern requirements to support your graphics for one thing.

Most come with 8 gigs now and some as much as 192. This isnt XP any more

In addition to whats already been mentioned, the x64 OS simply has more overhead to deal with.
For example, It must be able to run native 32bit apps in a 64bit enviroment.
Generally, those who are using the x64 system, do so because they have 4GB of RAM or more, or have a need for 64bit appications (which typically require more memory as well)

32bit has less overhead, and is good for 4GB or lower of RAM.

If you have less than 4GB of RAM, you are better off staying with 32bit.
Especially if you do not have or use applications that are native 64bit.

Next time you are running slow, bring up the Resource Monitor > Memory tab. There on the bottom right you have a graph which shows you the Hard Page Faults. If there is a lot of activity, it would explain why the system is slowing down. And in the list on the top of that page you can see which process(es) create the Page Faults.

And I agree with the others - 2GB of RAM is really borderline.

All the above are correct.
Bur for good or bad.
Close everything, clean all ur temporary files.
1)Download and install SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! update it an run full scan.
2)Download and install |MG| Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.51.0 Download update it and run full scan.
3)Update ur a.v. and run full scan.
Thats way ur sure that nothing <<bad>> isnt consuming even a small part of ur little ram ;)

5 months ago and only 2GB of RAM? Not a good choice. 4GB is the minimum for 7 64-hit and if you work with a lot of files or games double it.

My Computer

OS
Debian Squeeze Stable 64-bit
THANKS EVERYONE!

Oh well, I did not know that 2gb was the borderline.

Sounded like a good laptop:)
anyway I can update my memory to 4gb, so I will try that soon!

One thing I am curios about is the 32bit and 64bit differences...is there any overview of these differences?
Plus the WOW32 or something like that (win32 on win64?).

Another thing is how do 32bit programs are designed to work on 64bit? I know there is a problem here, especially with ram usage. Which is why 2gb of RAM are the bare minimum for 64bit systems...

What's "overhead"?
What's "Hard Page Faults"?

:)

In a nutshell, if your hardware supports and/or will run in a 64bit enviroment without issue, and you have a 4GB of RAm or more ...

I say just go with 64bit.
After all, it does seem this is where modern computing is going. I believe the days of 32bit are starting to die off.

But anything below 4GB you're sadly just shooting yourself in the foot ... so to speak.

Unlike previous 64bit versions of Windows in the past, Win7 is getting a lot of support.
