Problem In Runing Adobe Illustrator CS4

Hey Everyone,

I can' run illustartor cs4 on my pc on windows 7-64bit,when i try to open the program it opens then quickly it shuts down and before this it was working good then it goes as this

Hi spyboy this can be caused by a couple of things. type event viewer in search. go to the windows log>application tab. look for errors (they have red in the left column) that say app hang, app crash, and included CS4. they will have an event ID associated with it. we need the event id and the source code. I suspect your event ID will end up being 1000 and the source 100.

and how i can open " windows log "

also i want to add that his version is no orginal version... i mean i'm runing it with a crack, but i don't think that this problem is from the crack bec. it works in the first then this problem appeared

Sorry about Necro Posting.

Here is the issue I am having. Adobe Illustrator CS4 passes all the plugin checks, and loads the frame of the "Welcome Box." After a few seconds, the program closes without any warning messages. If I click the title bar, it displays (Not Responding). If I open any ai file, it displays it, then closes.

I have done everything short of reformatting, and i really don't want to do that again. I checked my event log, it is an app hang, 1000(100).

Well, I just tried it again, and the problem has finally solved itself. I wish I could be of more help to figure out why it was happening though. I'll keep my eyes peeled and post here if i learn more. I was going to create a dump file, so I had task manager open when I started AI up this time... which means AI wasn't in focus... maybe that has something to do with it?

I have the same problem on my laptop,
i have install Illustrator Cs4 me on windows 7 and it was work very good,
After nearly a month i have a problem when illustrator open it was close Directly.
i was try to uninstall the program then to install it there is the same problem
and i was try to format the laptop >>then install window 7 >>then install illustrator
i have the same problem !!!!

i am sorry but ((my language in english is bad))

i try to fix the problem but i cant understand what i have to do

any body help me please , i am graphic designer , and i have to work in this program

I have the same problem but can get it to work. I can't seem to find the settings folder described in the link above..

This has happened to me before and if I'm correct it had to do with my fonts. I recently removed all my font in windows and replaced them with the default windows 7 fonts. Now my Illustrator doesn't work again. I think I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Master Collection to fix the problem last time. But I remembered messing with the fonts that time too, to screw everything up.
