Hi everybody, I've been searching every forum about W7 lags.. But there isn't something like mine, I guess. Sometimes it just starts lagging at the desktop, music lags, video's lag, games lag. I've installed the latest drivers and I have a pretty High end system, so hardware isn't the problem, I guess. I think it started after I installed DirectX11, might that be the problem?

Anybody knows a solution to all this lagging? Thanks.

When it begins to lag, go alt cntrl delete and find out what is running. Probably one of the running appl is the cause of your problem. Maybe a better way. Take an image of the OS, now. Remove the program that you think is the problem. If you do not lag you narrowed it down. You can do this one by one to all the memory consuming programs that you see when you ck with alt cntl delete (3 finger salute). Just do not remove anything essential for Windows. It is probably a program, your antivirus, or corruption. Lets start with the most likely.

It is not possible to just look at the process' that are running in the task manager to determine what is causing the problem. It will be hit and miss. While the puter is working well, make a note of the process that are running. At different intervals, check it again make a note what is running. When the problem begins, compare the lists, it is my opinion that one that is on the last list and not on the others is the culprit.

The exact same progs are running when the pc lags.. It's at random I guess. Now,while typing this, my pc is lagging too, and the only other thing that is running is internet explorer... And that's not all the time, so that's not the reason..

Do a check disc for errors. Make sure that both boxes are checked. It will take an hour or so. Then do a defrag. Uninstall the program that you think may be causing the problem Direct XII
