Problem Installing HP Printer

I have installed an HP Printer and it's printing fine with the exception of MS docs. I can bring PDF files, web pages. I've printed an ebay purchase and and an Amazon purchase. However, I am unable to print Word or Works doc. I have no idea why. Can anyone help? Thanks!

When trying to print from a word document, are you getting any sort of error message or a message of any kind?

What model printer is it.?
Did you install the printer with a hp disk or program from their web site?

there is a good possibility that the fonts your word is using are not in the printer
install,.

Its an HP Deskjet 1000. We tried installing it with a disk and then we tried downloading the drivers from the website. Same problem either way. If it's the fonts, how do we correct that? I read where MS Xps should be set as the default printer in order for MS docs to print. True? We have the Hp set as the default. Never had this problem with another printer. Not sure how they were set.

Try re-installing MS WORD.. use REVO Uninstaller to remove MS word "totally". then re-install.

set default the HP printer.

USE the HP Driver disk to install HP Printer.

and did you asked the retailer shop about this problem yet?

for the drivers for your hp deskjet 1000?
