Im trying to install windows 7 over the free beta client.

I inserted the cd, it asked for all the normal information and started to install.

I opted to make a new install rather than an upgrade because i want to use the 64bit system.

The process started to install as normal but at some point has just stopped (cant tell you the percentage because i was not watching it install)

Now, when i start my computer it gets to "starting windows" and then goesto a black screen with no information on it (however i can still move the mouse around the screen) and will not move on from here.

I tried to boot up in safe mode, where it then goes a stage further, saying "prepareing to setup for first use" followed by an error message saying "windows cannot complete setup in safe mode, setup will continue after you reset your system"

But, when i reset my system and choose normal mode, all i get is the same blank screen with mouse from before!

What can i do?

Ok, after reading the simmilar theads section, the advicegiven to someone else to remove my second screen appears to have solved the issue.

Sorry! :)
