I am having a problem accessing my work network using windows 7 64 bit. The computer that I am trying to connect with is a windows 2000 machine. It keeps saying that I have invalid credentials, when I know the credentials are right. A friends xp machine logs on to the network and so does his vista machine. Thanks in advance for any help!

The host machine is the w2k. The 64 bit win 7 is able to see the win2k machine. The credentals from the win 7 are rejected and I am quite certain they don't even make it to the win2k machine for verification. I think the encryption protocols are different. I am able to ping the w2k machine and use the w2k machine as the gateway to the Internet. I can access the Internet just fine. The network is mapped as such. W2k host the wireless router and the win 7 laptop is trying to use the w2k for printer sharing through the wireless. The network only consist of those two computers.
