Problem: Missing CD/DVD Drivers...

Just thought I would pass this bit of information along, I was installing windows 7 pro student download edition iso version the other day on a newly built system and I ran into this problem. To make a long story short I ended up hooking my old ide dvd drive to the system and it loaded no problem that way.The sata drive which was a TSST corp Samsung drive would not load it. I have seen alot of people have trouble with this drive installing windows 7 64 bit.

Did you try setting controller to ACHI in BIOS? Then IDE?

Yes I tried that and all the other suggestions in the forum, I was about to try a usb stick boot up when I tried this. I suspect some sort of a driver issue with sata dvd drives.
