Problem on Windows while hibernating

i guess the following problem may experienced by some Windows 7 users, i was using my computer for 2 hours continuously and i made hibernation for Windows and went any and when i came back i saw the screen didn't turn off and all of a sudden a blue screen appeared denoting there may be some hardware and software problem in the machine, please give some feedback regrading the above issue. thank you
