Are you able to get the other Windows 7 started and post a snip of disk management of that OS for us to see?

I think I might just wipe the drive after a back up. If I have a wiped drive and compadable hardware will I be able to install the 64bit version?

Let me see if I can explain this to you.


If you reinstall to the Disk 1 C: partition/HDD while the Disk 0 partition/HDD is still marked as Active the system boot files will be placed on the wrong (Disk 0) partition/HDD.

If I unplugged all other HDDs then use Dban on the c: drive then install windows would that work?

Once you plug back in the other drives, come back and we will show you how to correct the other drives which are incorrectly marked Active.

You don't need a 3rd party to do the wipe, use the Windows 7 installation disk, outlined in this tutorial at the link below.
