Problem which laptop keyboard

Hello there,

I'm having a weird problem with my sister's laptop, some keys of the keyboard writes numbers instead of letters, it gets fixed temporarily after I restart but then it comes back.

What could be causing this, how to fix it and how to prevent it from happening in the future..

Oh almost forgot, it's an Acer TravelMate 4152LMi

Just check that you aren't bumping the numlock key. On some acers, this turns on the numbers on keys
U,I,O,J,K,L,M.

It has been happening for a while, I also formated couple of times but it still happens.

@TimStitt Nothing is touching the NumLK, I can only write letters without numbers by pressing on the Fn key then the letter I want...

It has been happening for a while, I also formated couple of times but it still happens.

My Acer also does this, Then when I hold down the function key and press F11 (which is Numlock on mine), it goes back to normal.

You can probably change the numlock default settings to 'off' in bios; but I have never bothered to check.
