Problem while copying symbols from charmap to notepad

I am trying to copy some symbols from "Wingdings" font using chamap. When I paste the symbols in notepad (I changed font to Wingdings for notepad) I see unknown rectangular characters.
I selected this font from charmap and when I pasted this in note pad I got this:


I don't know where I am doing mistake. As suggested, I made all fonts visible in C:\windows\fonts folder. But I can see still see the problem.

Notepad doesn't support different fonts.
