problem with abit AudioMAX HD 7.1 CH

My motherboard is a ABIT AW9D-Max and on this motherboard there is a abit AudioMAX™ HD 7.1 CH soundcard.

My problem is that i can´t get it to work correctly under windows 7. I tired both win vista 64 drivers drivers from realtek but nothing works.

The problem is that sometimes when i use Ventrillo the sound cuts out when i talk to my friends.

there is a thread here on ventrillo and sound issue. Im not sure if it was an abit mobo, but you can search for ventrillo. hope this helps

I have the same card with the same motherboard and the card works fine in Vista/Windows 7 Dual boot confg. Make sure the onboard sound is enabled not auto enter your bios and get to integrated peripherals/on chip pci/ then download and install the lates drivers from Realtek's website. Also make sure there are no audio devices like HDMI audio being used as default in the Windows sound properties. Hope this helps.
