Problem with CD-DVD combo drive
Well this is weird, but I unplugged my device to clean it up, so what I did it's just jump the power supply to power it up without plugging the PSU to the motherboard, I opened the drive to clean the dust from inside , I closed it again and plugged everything back to normal, and now the device doesn't power up anymore.
When I plug the power cable from the power supply the device works normally, but when I plug the IDE cable the device just won't power up...I've tested the cable with another cd/dvd combo drive I've got and it works normally. What would be the problem?

Hello,
I believe we are down to 2 options.
You damaged something in the drive cleaning out the dust
The motherboard is faulty.
The only way I know of to test that is try another drive in the machine and try the drive in another machine.
