Problem with certain files in "Play To" Option with Samsung TV

Ok, so that may sound weird, but i'm trying to figure it out, let me walk you through my network:
1 PC, 1 Laptop, and 1 Samsung SmartTV
So, I have most of my movies on the PC, I can access them from the TV smart hub, or just right click on the file on the PC and "Play To"; it all looks good.
Except for certain files :sarc: when I try to use "Play To" on them i get the "Failed to retrieve media information from media server"; and i can't see these files/folders from my TV menu, so far, it could be a problem with the file itself.

Here's where it gets weird; when i move the file to my laptop, and I try doing the exact same, it works like charm.

Please note that:
My PC runs Win7 Ultimate - 32 bit with 2 GB of ram
and Laptop runs Win7 Ultimate - 64x with 4 GB of ram, though i don't think it makes a difference.

Any ideas?

this worked for me after days of messing around – change the share permissions in the media folder you want to play to Everyone – right click folder>properties >sharing >advanced sharing , tick share this folder then click permissions then add – and type everyone and then tick full control ,change read ,allow boxes – save – now try play to – this worked for me
