Solved Problem with changing wallpaper..

I have windows 7 home premium installed in my laptop.. i couldnt change my desktop wallpaper. when i select right click -> set as desktop background.. the background doesnt change.. when i try to change through personalize window.. i found that "Desktop background" as a dull icon indicating its disabled.. in the bottom of the window the message like "one or more of the settings on this page is disabled by the system administrator".. but actually I was accessing only in administrator account.. Plz someone help me to enable the desktop background.. I tried with gpedit.msc but thats not available in this version of windows..

You could use step 1 in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below to make sure changing the desktop background is allowed.

Next, you could check using step 5 in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to make sure that you do not have a desktop background specified for all users that would also prevent changing it.

the first option worked.. i downloaded and installed the registry key... now it works

That's great news.

What did you mean by "downloaded and installed the registry key... " though?? You usually just type it in and activate it.
