Problem with codecs

Hi friends, :)

I have recently downloaded a movie, that have 2 audio tracks.

In vlc or media player classic i can choose the audio tracks, but in wmp both the audio tracks are playing simultaneously, if a codec pack is installed.

If i uninstall the codec pack, then i can change the audio track in wmp, switching to library mode, going to the tab 'play' then 'audio & language tracks', where the two tracks are differently shown. also wmp plays one audio track by default when there is no codec pack installed.

But, when i install a codec pack, under 'audio & language tracks', the audio tracks are not shown, there is no way to switch between audio tracks. And wmp also plays both audio tracks at a same time.

I have tested it with k-lite mega codec, shark 7 codec, satsuki decoder pack, (installed them with default installation settings) same result for every one.

Is there any solution?

With the Shark007 Win7codecs installed,
open the Settings Application and go to the AVI TAB. Set Haali as the splitter on that TAB.

While the video is playing you can rightclick Haali's tray icon to select your prefered audio track.

Thanks for your reply. :)

But why it cannot be changed directly from WMP.

I have noticed that this problem is only for 32-bit system, in 64-bit i personaly checked with the same movie, there audio tracks can be changed directly from WMP, as i have stated above.

And also want you to know that with shark007codec, if .mkv thumbnail creations are on, in a rare case i found it restarting windows explorer as soon as i open the video folder.

The codec information of that video file shown in vlc like below,

1st, to stop Explorer from restarting, on the MKV TAB, disable the DivX MF splitter.
Do this in the 64bit app if you have a 64bit operating system.

Then, on my tools page, is a program called Metafox. The installer places an icon on your desktop. Drag n drop the unthumbed mkv to that icon and a new mkv will be written to the originating directory. Place the original file into a directory of its own to hide it from Explorer. Afterwards, re-enable the DivX MF splitter. If the new file gets thumbed, you can delete the old file.
