Are you sure you are deleting the files and not only the shortcuts to the files?

Can you give us the details of one or two of the files? And a screenshot of the file Properties?

Perhaps they are being recreated after you delete them? (Hence, not when in Safe Mode.)

Try closing all open programs and then deleting the files / folders again. If this doesn't work, restart your computer and try to delete the folder again. It could be that the folder isn't deleting because another program is using a file in that folder.

This is why I suggested the solution in the link I gave above. This involves using a live version of Linux in order to browse and delete the file(s)/folder(s) in question. Because the Windows OS isn't running, there isn't any problem with another program using the file(s) and/or folder(s).

@CassieFWinTeam: I tried , it didn't work!
@Dwarf: I will try the live linux solution, but does it mean whenever i want to delet a flie in my desktop or my documents I should run from CD and...

I want to know what could be the reason for this? is there any backup system that restore the files? what is the problem?

thanks a lot guys

Oh wow... Deja View.... You have Avira.exe on your desktop, all 48 megs of it! When you put exe files on your desktop they are going to treat the desktop as their working folder and create teir data files there... Hense the files that keep coming back.

Dump the EXEs from your desktop and install them properly in c:\Program Files\ and then make a shortcut to the EXE on your desktop and your problem will go away.
