Hello, I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask the question. If not I apologize.

I am having a minor annoyance with desktop. Whenever I open a window, a transparent "screen" pops up, covering the entire desktop screen. I cannot click on the icons. However, the "screen" can just be as easily removed when I click on show desktop.

I cannot figure out what may be generating the screen. On several instances the screen stopped popping up, but right now it's back. I can open anything from files, AIM, browser, etc, and the screen will pop up.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thank you for your time.

No, I have never seen this occurance. Is there an icon associated with it on the taskbar?

Also, please post a screenshot of your desktop so we can see. Maybe then we can help.

There is no icon associated with the transparent screen.

I will get a print screen image, but I don't think it will help. It's literally a transparent screen. You won't know it's there until you try to click on an icon.

Also, I am running windows 7 on Ideapad Y550, if that may have anything to do with it.

Sorry for another post. I did several reboot. The result is the same. The "screen" returns to transparent state, but still behaves similarly.
