I am using Office 2010 Home and Student Premium including Outlook 2010.
My Browser is Google Chrome.
My problem is this:
When I receive an email from an Apple Device an open it:
1. Whatever appears on the subject line appears perfectly.
2. Anything in the body of the email is invisible.
3. When I attempt to reply to the email whatever I type in both the subject line and body is invisible.
4. Oddly when I forward the email to my Yahoo email account the message opens fine and everything in the subject line and body reads perfectly and there is no issue with sending replies.
In an effort to resolve this problem I have gone to "Programs and Features" and right clicking on the Outlook 2010 Program I have then clicked on "Repair" to see if this would fix the problem but alas to no avail.
Could someone kindly suggest how I might resolve this issue?
Get help using Outlook with iCloud for Windows - Apple Support
But I believe this is for persons using an Apple device which I do not own.
If it is what I am to do without owning an Apple device, the instruction given below speak at a level beyond my comprehension. I have no idea what a Virtual Outlook Key is.
I am instructed to do the following;
To check whether Outlook was delivered by Click-to-Run on a client computer:
Verify if the VirtualOutlook key exists in the following location in the Windows registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\InstallRoot\Virtual\VirtualOutlook
The VirtualOutlook key is a REG_SZ value that contains the culture tag of the installed product language, such as "en-us".
The second link “How do I make sure my email is properly synced between all my computers? – BIT” also presupposes I am using an Apple device.
I am not using an Apple Device of any kind.
My problem is being able to read messages and reply to messages sent from an Apple device.
Note: When I send an email to an Apple device is opens and is able to be read without a problem.
Try going into Outlook by FILE->OPTIONS->MAIL->STATIONARY AND FONTS_> Then click fonts under "Composing and Reading Plain Text Messages" Look now for a tick mark next to "Hidden". Uncheck it.
If that doesn't work you may need to adjust your virus scan settings or receive all messages in plain text. The option to receive all messages in plain text is located by FILE>OPTIONS>TRUST CENTER>TRUST CENTER SETTINGS>EMAIL SECURITY
