My Epson 4000 worked fine with the Windows 7 RC.

Now that I'e installed the real thing, I'm having serious problems. I had to turn off spooling to get it to work at all.

Note that I am connected through network router (Epson 4000 has a network interface card that plugs right into the router).

I haven't found anything on Google.

Any help or ideas?

What is the actual symptom?

It does not print, but there are no error messages. The printer is connected because I can see how much ink left and start ink cleaning cycle from the computer.

But when I send a print job, it goes into the queue and clears the queue but doesn't actually print.

The printer-specific driver becomes the first focal point when troubleshooting issues of this sort.

Have you downloaded updated versions of the print driver + apps from the Epson site? Have they made any difference whatsoever to the behaviour?

Since this is a network printer, there's a possibility that your attempts at printing are being hampered by "security" software which would be interested in inspecting your network communication - your anti-virus or 3rd-party firewalls, if any.

If updating the printer driver doesn't help, you may wish to test what happens with the AV completely uninstalled (disabling it is not enough).

I was able to get it to print by disabling the print spooler. Does that give any indication as to what the problem might be?

I downloaded and installed the latest drivers.

I disabled the Windows firewall. I do use Avast anti-virus and have not tried disabling that yet.

It seems to be working again, but it's finicky.
