Problem with file association

Hi all,


I have a problem. I'm not a 100 % sure this is the right forum. If not, I'm sorry.

A couple of days ago, I installed the software "Programmer's notepad 2", which is a text editor. Then, suddently when I click links in e-mails, the pages they lead to open in this program. I couldn't figure out how I reversed the file association, so I uninstalled it, but my computer still tries to use this program - only now it's not there, so I get an error.

Can any of you tell me how I make the links open in my web browser like usual?

type def into your search from the start orb and go to default programs then give your browser all the associations it needs to open the file type

Hello Deafdigit,

It sounds like your URL file extension may have been associated to that program by mistake. You can use the URL download in the tutorial below to restore it's default associations to hopefully fix this for you.
