Problem with hardware

Hi,okay so first of all I have terible motherboard "MSI 915p combo 2" and when I want to instal windows 7 on it,setup cant detect the my hdd,when I go to bios setup my primary ide master is cd/dvd room.primary ide slave is on [none].secondary ide master is my hdd and I dont know how to set up my hdd to primary ide.The cd room is conected by ide conection and hdd is conected by sata conection.please help.thx.......

and when I enter to primary ide master .IDE HDD auto-detection I pressing the enter button then pops up red little screen thats says detecting hard drive and nothing hapens.sorry for my bad english

That board doesn't really appear to have proper win 7 drivers available for it sadly.

Nor are there any special drivers provided suggesting you require anything additional for the drive to detect.
My first impression is that the sata detect method needs to be changed in the bios. It should allow you to set it to a ide mode.

I'll need to dig up a copy of your motherboard manual to be specific.
If there is a obvious raid setting in the bios, I would disable that as well. Since your only using one drive it doesn't even apply to you.

If you tell us what BIOS you have (AWARD or AMI) and the version we may be able to figure out what settings you need to change to get the SATA drive recognized as the Primary Master.

I would assume that you need to "Configure SATA As" to IDE mode, but your board may be too old for that.
