I'm having a problem with my Logitech mouse in Windows 7 x64

1. When I try and highlight words to either copy or delete them, the words highlighted will either move to the front or will unhighlight when i let go of the mouse button.

2. When I right click in Windows 7 x64, Windows Explorer crashes.

Any ideas how to fix these annoyances?

PS I've reformated my PC countless times and these issues continue to come back but only in Windows 7 x64.

You need to reinstall the Logitech mouse driver in Vista compatability mode by right clicking on the file and choosing to install in Vista compatablity mode. I would uninstall the driver first and restart.

After you attempt this the first time there will be a long delay 10-15 seconds, at which point Windows will show you a prompt to reinstall using Windows compatablity mode, say yes to this prompt. After that Windows will reinstall those drivers correctly. Everything will work properly after you do that. :)

I'm using the same driver and that was the only way to make it work correctly. It should also fix your Explorer crashing problem. This procecure has already worked on a bunch of other machines running Win7.

Thanks for the help but I believe I found more of the problem than Logitech. Seems like Comodo Internet Security sees Windows Explorer as a threat in Windows 7 x64. If set in training mode CIS tends to automatically shut down explorer.exe. When in normal mode it continue flashing a red warning message.
