Problem with my Windows 7 Sony Vaio DVD Drive (Code 19)

I have an issue with my Windows 7 Sony Vaio DVD Drive. I had the DVD Drive replaced by Sony last fortnight which worked fine up until a couple of days ago. I've tried everything I can think of to get it to work but to no result. The message I’m seeing is ‘Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)’.

My system information is:
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Intel Core i3-2310M CPU @ 2.10GHz
- Sony Optiarc DVD RW AD-7740H

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you pleae tell us what all you have tried so that we can look beyond it instead of repeating the same procedures.

Have you tried a System Restore to a point prior to this event?
