Problem with old games

Hello
is there anything that i can do so i can get my old games to run on my windows 7 Opperating system. Im trying to play Battle field 1942 and Age of Empires, age of kings/conqs?

If they are dos games, there is something called DOSBox you can download. Why BF1942 doesn't play is beyond me...it isn't that old comparatively speaking.

Are you sure that your Cd's are not scratched at all? also how old is you CD drive?

i have a DVD drive.. all drivers are updated.. thank you for the help.. i looked up the age of kings problem and fixed it by ending my EXPLORER.exe while playing.. i will check for battlefield 1942 see if my disk is just messed up.. Thank you for the help
