Hey guys i just put a fresh instal of windows 7 on my friends computer and ran into a weird problem, his computer is in two partitions, one 12gig one, 117gig. When 7 installed it installed on the 12gig partion. So i went into partition settings and tried to expand C: (12gig one with 7 installed) and it didnt give me an option to expand. So i took d and cut it down to only 20gig, so now there is 100gig of unallocated space. I then tried to expand but the option is still greyed out. What can I do about this?

Thanks
Kevin

Welcome to Seven Forums.

It sounds as though it installed to the recovery partition.

Was it a recovery disc you used or a Windows 7 DVD?

Also, it helps if you give us the computer specs and which manufacturer the computer came from as their support pages are usually pretty helpful too.

Did you try and create a new partition on the unallocated space?
