Problem with Skull theme.

Well, i have windows 7 ultimate 32-bit. I have problems installing this theme Windows 7 Skull Visual Style by ~TheDarkenedPoet on deviantART because it shows the classic windows theme instead. I tried with another custom themes, cheked the Unsigned themes service and the folders and archives, everything seems to be fine...hope you can help me

Do you have this. TCP-Z, Best TCP/IP Patch: Universal Theme Patcher (v1.5, Build 20090409) If you don't that might be your problem. You must have this. For custom themes for Windows 7.

I use ux style core, because that patch makes my system crash, it starts and in the log in screen it stucks there and the screen goes black and returns.

-Using ux style
-Yes, i already did /sfc scan, no problems.

As you are having problems with apply a theme, I posted you the tutorial links that deals with this issue.

I guess if you follow the steps properly, it should be fixed.

Reason why im making this thread is EXACTLY because following that steps didnt work.
Check my previous post, you will see it.

It appears to be basic, that means the patches are not applied correctly.

After running SFC, you will get the default aero/basic back. Apply the patches again, restart your computer, and apply the custom theme. It should work.

I downloaded and installed this theme and it worked just fine. (I did not install the explorer.exe)

I would recommend you uninstall UxStyle Core restart your computer turn the UAC http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/299-user-account-control-uac-change-notification-settings.html all the way down restart your computer again install UxStyle Core again and then restart your computer one more time and see if that helps. Put the UAC back to the original settings.
