Problem with SSD

I recently installed an SSD in my PC. I then installed windows 7 on it and booted into diskpart to run "clean all" on my old HDD. Once it completed I restarted my computer, but it wouldn't boot the SSD no matter what I tried. I then booted into diskpart again and marked the drive's only partition as active. Then I rebooted and it says that bootmanager is not there and to restart. Any Ideas how I can fix it?

Normally in this situation I would format the old drive first then install the OS. This will ensure a successful install with no problems.

As for your problem...In safe mode I would format the old drive and SSD then reboot and at reboot change the boot order to cd/dvd drive, then install OS on SSD.

What happened is that Win7 boot files were on the other HD, so when installing to SSD it only updated the existing boot files on HD to create Dual Boot. The SSD still needs its boot files once marked Active to accept them. Mark Partition Active

Write the System boot files to the Active partition via Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times until it holds the System flag signifying the boot files which are booting the OS.

Okay, I went to the recovery options and it detected an issue and restarted for me. Then I went back, ran startup repair, wen to run it again and it told me to remove any kind of camera or flash drive. I assumed it was done and I was able to successfully boot into windows. Now is there a way to make sure that all files are in order the way they should be? I remember hearing about a diskcheck command or something once.

You are to run Startup Repair three separate times no matter what it reports. Finish that.

Run a Disk Check with both boxes checked first.

Disk Mgmt should read System Active Boot Page File Primary on the WIn7 partition.

Oh, woops. I didn't know. I already booted into windows 7, is it too late to go back and run it 2 more times?

Unless you want to assume it completed all steps. Can you boot into F8 System Recovery Options?

Okay, I just ran it 3 times in a row. Now I'm going to run diskcheck.

Alright Diskcheck ran at startup and everything went fine
