Problem with usb microphone

its part of my webcam an my webcam works perfectly fine but for some reason my mic will not show up under the recording tab it only shows sigmatel audio for the recording device is the problem that my usb doesnt support audio?

There should be one more cable with pink(usual) color for the mic.
