problem with Win 7 64bit wi-fi tray icon

My tray icon says I'm disconnected on my laptop but I have full conectavaty to the internet and my network as well as local ethernet i did
uninstall the MS ver. wireless adapter and it is still not working right it's just a icon but it's driveing me nutz :mad: here's a screan shot .

Are you running any other sw, such as Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, etc. Software that came with your wireless adapter?

What wireless adapter are you using? Built in Toshiba, or?
