Problem with Windows Live Mail

Help please

Unable to load live mail get 2 error messages

1. c:\windows\system32\esent.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains errors. Try reinstalling etc

2. Windows Live Mail could not be started because msmail.dll could not be loaded.

Have tried

1. reinstall from MS site but says it is already installed.

2. tried to delete Live essentials from control panel asks for permission to proceed say yes but nothing happens.

3. Found a later esent.dll but unable to copy to sys32 folder

4. Have tried logged on as user with admin priv and as system admin account in normal and safe modes

Before I tear all my hair out anyone any ideas please

Forgot to say mail was working OK last night but not today and nothing installed

Welcome!

Sounds like a job for System Restore. Hopefully that is all it needs.

msmail.dll won't load - my fix

I uninstalled Windows 7 Essentials and reinstalled. Bingo - all working fine now.
