Problems installing IDT audio

Hello,

I just installed Windows 7 Ultimate. Clean installation, everything that I had before is now gone. Before today I ran on Windows XP.

Anyway, everything else works perfectly, I installed all other drivers, but I am having serious trouble installing IDT HD Audio.

I tried to install:

Download IDT HD Audio Driver 6.10.6222.0 for Win7 Driver for Windows 7 - Softpedia

Download HP IDT HD Audio CODEC Driver 6.10.6225.0 Rev.A for Win7 Driver for Windows 7 / Windows 7 x64 - Softpedia


But everytime I tried to install it it showed me an error saying: The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted.


Could anyone help me, please? How could I install it? on Win XP I was running on IDT audio and I pretty much loved it.

Did you try running it as an administrator?

I dont know if these were win 7 drivers or vista, but have you tried installing them in compatibility mode? insructions are here http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/316-compatibility-mode.html?ltr=C

I think they're for Win 7, after all thats what it says, right? Size / OS: 26.1 MB / Windows 7 / Windows 7 x64

Still not working and I have no idea what's wrong or what I should do...
