problems installing usb scale

New postal rates went into affect yesterday so I tried upgrading my dymo scale. It didnt' work so I uninstalled it and reinstalled and now, it doesn't see the scale. I've rebooted my system.

Hi plwoffice, welcome to sevenforums. Did you reboot your system with the scales plugged in? Also, when you uninstalled the software, did you follow the install procedure exactly like you should if it was a completely new unit? If you didn't I would suggest you uninstall the software, get a copy of ccleaner from Piriform - Download CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva, Speccy - Millions of users worldwide! and run it to remove any leftover associations in your registry. Once you have done that try re-installing the scales as if it were a completely new item. Please let us know how you get on and we can suggest further moves.
