Problems restarting the laptop

Hi

everytime I use the restart on windows the laptop restarts but comes up with a black screen with no lights. The only thing that lights up is the power, wifi and hardisk light. However when I press shutdown and use my finger to power on the laptop it works.

Laptop model is ML3108b (Gateway).

Still have the restarting problem:

When I press restart on my windows, it restarts but comes back up with a black screen. The HD + Wifi and etc lights come on normal. Just black screen problem. Manually opening the laptop is fine. Whats the problem?
