I just bought a new Hp desktop presario, when I first got it I could watch video from any source online and it would stream no problem. Then a couple of weeks ago things changed, now if I open a tv show from any of the online sources none of the shows will stream as before, they will run maybe up to 5 minutes and then pause. I then have to restart the video stream. I have tried both IE and Mozilla, I get the same result, I have updated FlashPlayer with no change. I can see that it is a system issue on my machine but cannot locate what needs to be reset. I have created a new user as well to see if that will work but nothing changes. Any ideas???

Is it perhaps possible that this could be a bandwidth issue from you ISP, that perhaps they are somehow blocking the online video sources?

I'm not sure what it's like for you wherever you're from, but I just recently upgraded my DSL from 384kbps to 4096kbps with the telecoms provider, which costs me extra. But my ISP was kind enough to inform me that in order to gain full advantage of the faster line, I had to also upgrade my internet user account with them, because the one I was previously using was specifically targeted towards 384kbps lines, and would continue to receive 384kbps speeds even though I was using a 4096kbps line.

I could tell you how I feel about the whole thing, but I'd rather not use that kind of language in a public forum such as this...

I thought of that, it's not the problem. I called the phone company and we checked the transfer speeds and such, everything that way is really good. At least good enough that I should be able to watch streaming video without interruption. As I said, I was able to stream video and then I wasn't.
