Problems with Dj Programs

I am pretty new to the dj business been using a friends computer to dj for about 2 months now but i can't get mine to stay working good with dj programs any advice would be great.

For starts we're going to need a LOT more information....

You should go to your user control panel (UserCP link at top of page) and fill in your system details. Beyond that we will need to know what DJ software you're using, what external equipment --controller pads, midi keyboards, etc.-- and most of all you need to tell us exactly what problems you're having...

well the program i am using now is virtual dj 6.06 and what i am having a problem with is adding audio 2 dj to my computer cuz i was trying to use the protractor dj program but all it did was freeze at the initializing page. I'm not using any external controlers cuz i dont really need them. I am still having a problem seperating my headphone play from the 2 mixer plays on the virtual dj program.
