[Solved] Problems with HDMI Output

Hey

So I wanted to connect my LG tv to my laptop today, and when I plug the HDMI and duplicate the screens, I can only hear the sound thru the TV, the image is blank(screen says No Signal), I've tried restarting computer with the HDMI cable and it shows the Starting Windows loading screen on the TV before you reach the login screen, but when you reach the login, the screen just becomes blank..
I have already connected it to the TV before and it worked fine, there wasn't any hardware changes and the cable is fine because I just tested it with my Blu-Ray Reader.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Please fill out your specs. Your manual is your best place to see how the LG is hooked up to a PC, not all of them use the HDMI for this most use a DVI or VGA connection, HDMI is, as you have just confirmed, used for audio if no other source is used. I have had no issues using a DVI-VGA connection to my 37" Vizio.

the things is, in the past I have already used this in the past to connect it, and it always worked fine, I have no idea why it doesnt work, and since it shows the image while loading the SO, it isnt a hardware problem, so it has to be something with windows :S

I've solved the problem, apparently all I had to do was to turn off the TV and turn it back on, this had never happened before but meh, as long as the problem is solved, everything's good

I was going to suggest this. I am glad you got it sorted out. sometimes monitors/TV's keep settings so the setting was cleared when turned off. Sometimes this requires unplugging the Monitor/TV so that the power is completely off.

You can close/mark solved by clicking on the Red Triangle in the upper right corner of your post and typing in "Solved" :)
