Problems With IE8

I'm running windows 7 ultimate and IE8(default) browser,every once in a while IE stops responding while loading sites and if i wait long enough,I get the message something like ....stop loading script.....? Yes/No ,If I press yes it takes some time and resumes properly again. IS there something wrong with those websites or with IE or W/ system ?
