Hi,
In windows 7, if I pause itunes or media player for more than just a few seconds, the programs no longer play audio, or worse, become unresponsive. I never had this problem before upgrading to 7 (from xp).

Also, sometimes audio inexplicably cuts out for several seconds. This is usually a one-time thing, but is extrememly annoying nonetheless. Please help!

(My computer is specifically set up for running audio-- a digital audio workstation).

Thanks!

Do you know if you have the most recent drivers for that Edirol sound card?

I do have the most recent drivers, although they have yet to release a new driver for windows 7. The vista driver seems to work well enough. I doubt that is the problem, considering let's say itunes just freezes up on me after pausing, it's not just an audio problem. With Media Player, indeed if I stop the video and then try to continue from where i left off, it plays without audio.

One more thing--sometimes videos or audio doesn't seem to play when I have another audio program running simultaneously. This has never been an issue before windows 7 either. When i shut down the program that's running, the new one will play correctly. So maybe this issue is connected to my other ones. Thanks.
