I've tried everything I can, but now I'm in desperate need of help.
I just bought a D-Link DNS-320 which is working just fine. I connected my printer (HP C3190) through the NAS, instead of having it shared from one computer. It was installed on my desktop with Win XP, and I added a network printer with the adress \\<ip of the nas>\lp and it worked without a problem.
Moving on to the laptop with Win 7 Pro 32-bit, first installed it with USB and latest drivers (I've heard that's what you should do) and it printed without problem. So I moved on doing the same as with the XP-machine, adding network printer.
But it just doesn't work. When I try to print, it just shuts down print spooler, all the time, and if you check properties for the printer it's empty in the ports.
Print spooler is on automatic start, with all the other services needed also started.
It feels like I've searched the entire internet, and I have tried everything, at least that is how I feel. I've tried adding the printer as local with new port and the same adress as above, then the print spooler doesn't stop, but still no action on the printer.
I've turned of firewalls and activated print and file-share.
So, anyone has any idea? Because it works on the xp-machine, then maybe there is something with win 7?
I've been in contact with D-link, but the level is to low, like do you have the latest drivers and so on...
