Problems with Stereo Mix

Hey all.

I have a problem with Stereo Mix & Realtek High Definition Sound Card. To gain the Stereo Mix option I had to update my drivers for the sound card. Now I have the Stereo Mix option enabled but the thing is simply broken.

From past experience when I play sound the volume bar for Stereo Mix should make action(recieve sound) - it doesn't. The only time it appears to make action is when I change tabs from Playback to Recording - then the bar goes to max and back to nothing in a half second.

So the problem is that the Stereo Mix thing isn't recieving the playback sound. How come?

Thank you greatly for all help.

Fixed.

Fixed faster than lightning, it feels like.
I was using a Logitech keyboard with support for sound input and output (pink and green) - when I switched to the jacks(or whatever you call it) on the computer, it worked flawless. I guess the drivers or windows 7 isn't advanced enough to take sound from an external usb hub

Maybe you didn't have them set as Default Record/Playback Devices in the Windows Mixer Setup.

If it is anything like the G110,

Gaming Keyboard G110

it will have its own integrated USB audio (mic and headset connected to the keyboard, with the audio coming from the keyboards USB connection) and being a USB audio device, wouldn't make any use of the sound card at all.

That's right, but if it's a recognized Windows audio device it should have some configuration properties in the Windows mixer. You would think it could be set as Default for both Audio IN and Out.

Logitech G110, that is the only keyboard I have seen from Logitech that supports the green and pink contacts.
